Welcome to IMVC
Originating from Imperial College, London, the Imperial Male Voice Choir is a friendly group of over 30 men who meet to rehearse, perform concerts for charity and occasionally enter singing festivals or tour overseas. We aim for a high standard of performance under the experienced direction of our Musical Director, Deborah Miles-Johnson. We have a vast and varied repertoire including Renaissance music, arrangements of folk and popular songs, excerpts from opera and musical theatre, and special commissions. Our members are spread over a large proportion of SE England so rehearsals are organised in a variety of locations convenient for the M25 and are generally held on Sunday afternoons.
We perform several times a year and are normally hosted by an organisation to raise money for themselves or for the charity of their choice.

A marvelous concert with guest soprano soloist Leilani Barratt, the choir performed a varied and eclectic mix of music: opera choruses, classical part songs, Stephen Sondheim’s “Send in the Clowns”, atmospheric folksongs and hits from the great Broadway and West End shows. Everyone left the concert with a smile on their face and a skip in their stride.

In November 2021 we filled St James's Church, Piccadilly, together with the widely-acclaimed Gloriana choir in our first concert since lockdown began.
