LEANNE SINGH-LEVETT is a freelance pianist specialising in accompaniment and chamber music. As well playing regularly for vocal classes and opera scenes at the Royal College of Music, Leanne has coached the Jette Parker Young Artists at the Royal Opera House. Leanne is the accompanist for both Kingston Choral Society and the Imperial Male Voice Choir, and is an experienced répétiteur, having worked for Opera East and Opéra de Baugé.
Leanne holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Performance from the Royal College of Music, where her teachers were Andrew Ball and Roger Vignoles for Piano Accompaniment, and Margaret Kingsley and Nicholas Sears for Voice. Throughout her time at the RCM, Leanne was a scholar supported by a Gordon Calway Stone Memorial Award. Subsequently, she completed the London Philharmonic Orchestra's Foyle Future Firsts apprenticeship programme, studying orchestral piano with Catherine Edwards. In 2009, Leanne participated in the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme in Aldeburgh, working on the Lieder of Robert Schumann in masterclasses with Malcolm Martineau. In 2011 Leanne was awarded bursaries to study chamber music with Ian Brown at Dartington International Summer School, and with the Endellion Quartet.ra de Baugé.
Leanne has given duo and chamber music recitals at St Martin-in-the-Fields, St James’s Piccadilly, the National Gallery, the V&A, Brighton’s Chapel Royal, Winchester Cathedral, and the Pump Room, Bath. In 2009, she performed in the Purcell Room in a chamber arrangement of Mahler’s Symphony No. 4, and in a chamber orchestra performance in the Royal Festival Hall. Leanne plays regularly with flautist José Zalba Smith and in 2011 they presented the complete Bach flute and keyboard sonatas at St John’s, Notting Hill.
