Whilst much of our repertoire works well with piano accompaniment or ‘a cappella’, there are some pieces that sound so much better with a full band playing along. For our second collaboration with the Band of the Surrey Yeomanry their Musical Director (and one of our former members), Michael Withers, arranged joint numbers ranging from grand opera through Victoriana to a rhythm and blues classic. In addition the two groups performed an eclectic variety of their own favourites. With the backing of Reigate Heath Golf Club we aimed to raise money for the charity PSDS supporting young people with Down Syndrome.
