Welcome to the Imperial Male Voice Choir Website
Originating from Imperial College, London, the Imperial Male Voice Choir is a friendly group of over 30 men who meet to rehearse, perform concerts for charity and occasionally enter singing festivals or tour overseas. We aim for a high standard of performance under the experienced direction of our Musical Director, Deborah Miles-Johnson. We have a vast and varied repertoire including Renaissance music, arrangements of folk and popular songs, excerpts from opera and musical theatre, and special commissions. Our members are spread over a large proportion of SE England so rehearsals are organised in a variety of locations convenient for the M25 and are generally held on Sunday afternoons.
We perform several times a year and are normally hosted by an organisation to raise money for themselves or for the charity of their choice.
Our next event is a much anticipated link-up with Gloriana, a very accomplished female choir also directed by Deborah Miles-Johnson. This takes place on Saturday April 21st at Holy Trinity Sloane Square. The theme is 'Mars and Venus' which gives us plenty of scope both as individual choirs and collaboratively. Click here for details - don't miss this concert!
Over the bank holiday weekend, 4th-7th, May we will be making a trip to Offenbach in Germany to meet up with our friends Rhein-Main Vokalisten, whom we hosted in 2015, for two concerts.
We will be on our travels again on Saturday 22nd September to join forces with the Mountbatten Choir in Romesy Abbey to hopefully sell out again as we did in 2015.
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the WWI armistice we will be setting sail again to France to take part in events at Le Perreux near Paris on the weekend of 11th November.
